RANDOM THINGS THAT MADE ME SMILE IN THE LAST FOUR MONTHS : D
WHERE TIME'S FOREVER FROZEN
You’re on the other side,
I can see you smile
I’m on the other end -
With another friend.
They say you’ve moved on,
You’ve gone away a hundred miles
Call me crazy,
but I still see pain behind your smile.
I would cross the bridge if you told me so,
But maybe I’m afraid you would no more hold me close
And I would burn the bridges that kept us apart
But our synced heartbeats are now flames of the past
My hands lack your warmth-
There’s snow falling
I still remember how your lips tasted when you kissed me that winter morning
All of those moment are now only memories -
You’re on the other side of the bridge now,
And that’s how it will ever be.
For the longest time, perfection to me meant everything. If I was not immediately great at something, I would straight up abandon it.
In the process of battling depression though, I came in touch with my creative side- and fell in love with painting. And no, I'm not great at art- if anything I'm average.
What brings me real joy now though are the colours, the way the canvas feels, my messy hands-all full of paint - and my own creations, with all their imperfect perfections.
